Back to Calculations

Today brought us back to calculations. Our assignment for today (and to finish tomorrow) is spectrophotometer calibration. For today's work, we were only able to prepare the various stock solutions and dilutions including: sulfuric acid, potassium dichromate, potassium chloride, sodium nitrite, sodium iodide and copper sulfate. We were pretty slow. Hopefully tomorrow we will move a little quicker since the hard part is complete. We will just have to run the solutions through the UV-Vis.

We were also treated out to lunch at Bake A Wish cafe on campus with the faculty of pharmacy and also some students. The food was delicious, pronounced "a-roy" in Thai. I had a Thai hot and sour shrimp soup, tom yum kung. I look forward to lunch everyday to try new traditional Thai dishes.
