Today we had the pleasure of being taken on a field trip to the Thai Herbal Products CO.,LTD in Ayutthaya. We were accompanied by fellow Rangsit and Chiang Mai University Pharmacy students on a tour of the manufacturing lab. This company is under strict regulation because they are owned by the government and are responsible for a large supply of the areas traditional Thai herbal medicines. They follow strict GMP (good manufacturing process) procedures, so we had to gown up before entering areas of the lab. Airlock systems and all. Today was a great day and we are thankful we had the opportunity to experience it. We even got to take home some free samples provided at the end of the tour!
