The majority of drugs come in a tablet form. They come in various shapes and sizes with varying hardness. Today we gained hands-on experience in practicing making tablets. Pictured above is durian, an agent used as a meal replacer. It has a semi-sweet taste with a light green color to it, can be easily chewed and swallowed. By turning the wheel, this manual tablet making-machine clamps the powder, top and bottom, forming the tablet. In a different experiment, I measured the disintegration rate of our andrographolide at 37 C, normal body temperature.
